Terms

BSTCA Terms of Use

These terms bring together the BSTCA membership, conduct, payment, risk, insurance, residency, and Queensland jurisdiction principles used across the association.

Membership Rules and Conduct

By becoming a member of Brisbane Sports and Tamil Cultural Association, members agree to follow rules that support a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment.

Members are expected to treat other members, volunteers, staff, and visitors with respect, follow facility and safety guidelines, respect equipment and venues, and participate in good faith with sportsmanship.

Membership Eligibility and Residency

BSTCA primarily serves the Tamil community across Brisbane and Queensland. Membership is intended for people who support the association's cultural, sporting, and community objectives.

BSTCA may request information needed to confirm membership eligibility, maintain accurate community records, or support member communication.

Activities and Risk Acknowledgment

BSTCA activities may include sports activities such as cricket, table tennis, badminton, volleyball and other community sports, along with cultural events, performances, gatherings, festivals, workshops, and family programs.

Members and participants acknowledge that sport, cultural events, community gatherings, and related activities may involve physical exertion and risk of injury. Participants should take reasonable care for their own safety and follow instructions given by organisers, venue staff, volunteers, or officials.

Liability and Medical Conditions

Participation in BSTCA activities is voluntary. Members are responsible for deciding whether an activity is suitable for their health, fitness, experience, and personal circumstances.

Members should disclose relevant medical conditions or participation concerns where those conditions may affect safe participation in a BSTCA activity.

Payments, Renewals, and Refunds

Membership fees, event fees, sponsorship payments, and other community payments must be paid using the payment methods made available by BSTCA for the relevant activity.

Renewal timing, payment schedules, and refund eligibility may vary depending on the membership year, event, tournament, sponsorship arrangement, or community payment request. BSTCA may review refund requests case by case.

Insurance and Claims

BSTCA aims to maintain insurance coverage for member activities where required by applicable Queensland law, venue requirements, sporting requirements, or association obligations.

Insurance coverage may have limits, exclusions, and claim procedures. Members should contact BSTCA if they need information about an incident, claim process, or coverage question.

Disputes and Queensland Jurisdiction

BSTCA activities, membership matters, agreements, and disputes are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Members agree that Queensland is the jurisdiction for legal matters arising from BSTCA membership, community activities, event participation, or payment arrangements.
